I am a jewelry designer and teacher. All of my jewelry and kits are handmade in western Nevada.
I began my jewelry path weaving on a bead loom. I quickly transitioned from traditional loom work to using alternative materials such as leather and metal warp threads, and metal elements as part of the weaving. I am always at my most creative
mixing mediums, so I incorporate metal work, soldering, and leather into most of my designs.
All of my jewelry begins with a rough drawing of a design, followed by bead color selection. For me, color is always the most important element. Once the bead work is underway, I begin considering how to highlight the bead work with a metal or leather design.
My jewelry designs have been published in Beadwork Magazine, Bead & Button Magazine, Quick & Easy Beadwork, Stringing Magazine and in numerous books published by Kalmbach Publishing and Lark Crafts.
I own the Reno Bead Shop with my husband and teach many jewelry constructions classes in the shop. I also teach at national bead shows, including the annual Bead & Button Show and Bead Fest.
